One Pot Hidden Organ Meat Bolognese

A recipe that cleverly masks the flavor of organ meats for those who are not fond of their taste, while still reaping their nutritional benefits. It's also noted that the recipe can be made without organ meats by doubling the amount of ground beef.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb 1 lb ground beef + organ meats blend (or another lb of ground beef)
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 whole 1 yellow onion, minced
  • 2 whole 2 large carrots, diced
  • 4 ribs 4 ribs of celery, diced
  • 3 cloves 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 14.5 oz 14.5 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 14.5 oz 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups 3 cups beef bone broth
  • 8 oz 8 oz pasta of choice (gluten-free fusili)
  • to taste For serving: chopped fresh basil
