Harvest Apple Walnut Crumble Cake

A delicious and rich cake filled with apples, walnuts, and a crumbly topping, perfect for the fall season.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 units large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk or milk
  • 2 cups finely chopped apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.25 cup additional chopped walnuts
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
